The Long Lasting Memories (LLM) Project, with funding from the European Commission under the Competitiveness and Innovation Framework Programme (ICT PSP/2008/1), announced today the successful launch of the first round of pilot testing for the LLM service in five EU countries (Austria, Cyprus, France, Greece, and Spain). The early results of technological deployments and pilot participant recruitment were reviewed at a closed meeting of the consortium last week in Paris. The pilot programme will continue over the next two months, at which time the first round of testing will be evaluated and early results published. In all, the pilot partners of the consortium expect to involve more than 500 individuals in the testing, which is expected to provide significant insights both as to scientific results and real-world application of cognitive and physical exercise as a synergistic approach to health in the elderly.
